Are you trying to be perfect in everything?
If you want to be perfect in everything and earn money, it is impossible. You have to be perfect in one thing, then you can focus on one thing and you can earn.

Are you trying to be Perfect in everything? |
And today...
I
came back again with an interesting topic that is "perfection". Now,
what is that I'll tell you. It's a disease! Big disease boss, big disease! Now,
why am I calling it a disease? We often make some plans. For example, an event,
and we want everything to be perfect. Suppose you have a wedding ceremony in
your home, and naturally everyone tries to be perfect there. Don't you think
many guests will find fault in one thing or another? Though in your eyes
everything is fine, food or other things, But there will be someone who'll say,
"No dude the biryani wasn't good today." Or korma or curries are not
good, or whatever. People with such a mentality can be found all the time. Now,
why did I bring this topic? Because When designing something, or starting a
business, or your own YouTube channel, You're always becoming the victim of
this perfection. It literally stops your work. Better is progression than
perfection. What is progression? that means, You just get started, with
whatever resources you have. Of course, it's not possible in an event like a
wedding, but the rest can be applied. For example, if you are designing
something for yourself... See what usually happens when we design something for
the client, the problem of perfection doesn't occur then, but when creating
your own company and designing for it, the problem is, when it's about yourself
you be like "we do it better, a little better, and little more," then
you know what? You're just delaying the time. Now, Perfection is almost like a
kind of procrastination. What is procrastination? That we are wasting time for
no reason! Just wasting time for no reason at all! And for this, the car runs
away. By that I mean, if you start a business plan that "I'm going to
launch that business" and you stick to it, You do this, you do that... It
turned out that the same business was started by another and even lead by it.
Or if you want to create a website for example on anything; say e-commerce.
Right? You took two months to design the logo, Isn't it better to just start by
creating something simple? At least start selling! But it must be a working
website, not that it shouldn't be working, make it effective first. Get
started! Then you go on upgrading it. Meanwhile, your sales have already
started, One or two months ... If you hire someone, you have to generate the
salary, if renting an office you have gotta pay the rent. Electricity costs,
brother! You have to pay the bill too! Your overhead expenses will continue to
increase anyway. Similarly, YouTube! Many people starting YouTube become
victims of perfection in such that, "I want to start, but I don't have a
camera!" Or "I don't have good lighting" or "I don't have a
microphone" ... C'mon dude! What will happen?! Tell me what'll happen,
even if you sit with a great camera what'll happen? Any guarantee that if the
camera, lighting, or microphone is up to standard, will the content be the same
quality? No! I've my own example in front of you, when I started this channel
iPhone 6 the old one I had, I was shooting with it. I set the lights with
whatever I got, in umbrellas. But you're seeing now, with time Alhamdulillah, a
lot has improved. This is progression. And
there's a lot of fun in this progress. Like your audiences, customers, clients-
everyone notices your progression. Now... You know when YouTube started, how
was it then? It was known as Google Videos. And then it becomes YouTube,
"Broadcast Yourself" was their tagline then, it went on. It took a
lot of time, YouTube was not like today when it started. Look at Facebook, what
was it anyway? It had nothing before, It started in a college dorm room. And
today... it's all over the world! So every application or every business, when
it starts, it's always lighter, whether it's your design or YouTube business,
or whatever ... YouTube is a business, remember, it's a business. I'm not doing
any job, Alhamdulillah, all the expenses are coming from full-time YouTubing.
Yeah, I'm teaching at a university, that's because I need to go outside bro,
it's not possible working at home all the time. Anyways... Remember a
proverb... This proverb inspired me to start my own YouTube channel, At first,
I was stuck with that exact problem, that I didn't have a good camera or
equipment, whatever or I was hesitating to come in front of the camera, and I
also wanted the first video to come perfectly. And guess what? ... It wasn't
possible for me! Then I read a proverb, and that changed the way of my thinking
in some extant. I'm also sharing with you all DONE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT!!! In
other words, the work that has been completed is much better than perfection!
You'll just waste time if you fall into the maze of perfection. So please,
don't follow the perfection, at least for your business or your YouTube channel
or something you do for yourself, such as creating your own logo, creating
branding, and all these. Please don't go for too much perfection, yes let me
say one thing. Try to be more perfect with the logo, spend some time here,
because once your logo is decided, goes public, you get very little chance to
change it. It cost you a lot... more on big companies because the branding of all
things also has to be changed so that's a big task, really burdensome
especially for them. the branding of all things also has to be changed so
that's a big task, really burdensome especially for them. Keep things, simple
friend, life is very simple, live simply. Don’t complex too much. Don't follow
perfection. Now don't think that quality should be lost out No no no no! Wrong,
wrong! Quality should be your aim, best quality should be your goal. Don't go
for perfection, that's all! This is the small difference between good quality
and perfection. Let people digest (😁) - your content, business, or
whatever you're starting. A long time ago when I was working in a software
house, there was a term we used when creating a new product or a mobile app, so
one commonly used term was MVP. What is it? Minimum Viable Product. A product
that works, is functional and will continue to improve with time. Its user
experience will continue to improve. So remember that when you go down the
road, things keep improving. That's why new versions of all software keep
coming. So these are always in constant progressions, like Adobe Photoshop or
such, It was different 20 years ago, and completely different now. And even
that time it was Photoshop, it was the king back then, still now the king! So
keep in mind that you have to create things thinking about the Minimum Viable
Product. Do only what it needs. If you spend a lot of time behind it, then a
lot... For example, you want to start YouTube and you want everything to be
perfect, then how'll you complete 4 thousand hours, of Watch time?! Think, if
monetization, you know if you want to come on YouTube and go for it, the target
of 4 thousand hours is very huge! Not everyone can cover that so soon, right?
So imagine, if you run after perfection, you can't get started. Who knows when
you'll start and meet the target so make small goals and start achieving them.
So remember that proverb, Done is better than perfect. Or understand like this,
walking is much better than standing. So until you don't start, you're
standing! When you start, you keep going.
